Refund & Cancellation Policy

KKATC offers a free tier for all tools. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly with no long-term contract. This policy explains your rights regarding cancellations and refunds.

1. Subscription Model

All KKATC paid plans are month-to-month subscriptions billed via Stripe. Current plans include:

KKATC Tax
  • Starter — $19.99/month (50 questions/month, Federal only)
  • Pro — $39.99/month (Unlimited, Federal only)
  • Suite — $59.99/month (Unlimited, Federal + NY + NJ + CT + PA + MA + MD + all tools)
KKATC Tax Foundation
  • Starter — $19.99/month (50 questions/month, Federal only)
  • Pro — $39.99/month (Unlimited, Federal only)
  • Suite — $59.99/month (Unlimited, Federal + NY + NJ + CT nonprofit exemption layers)
KKATC Copy / KKATC Content
  • Starter — $9/month (50 generations)
  • Pro — $29/month (Unlimited)

There are no annual contracts or long-term commitments. You may cancel at any time. A free tier is available for all KKATC tools with limited daily usage. No payment method is required to use the free tier.

2. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time by:

  • Managing your subscription through the Stripe customer portal — accessible via the billing confirmation email sent at signup
  • Contacting us at support@kkatc.com with your cancellation request and the email address associated with your account

Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain full access to paid features until your billing period ends. After cancellation, your account reverts to the free tier automatically. KKATC is not responsible for cancellation requests sent to incorrect email addresses or submitted through unofficial channels.

3. Refund Policy

All subscription fees are non-refundable except in the following limited circumstances:

  • You were charged in error due to a documented technical issue on our end
  • You were charged after a cancellation request that was submitted before the renewal date and can be verified through our records
  • The Services were materially unavailable for a continuous period exceeding 72 hours during your billing cycle due to our fault

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the charge in question to support@kkatc.com with your account email and a description of the issue. We will review and respond within 5 business days. Refunds, if approved, are processed through Stripe and may take 5-10 business days to appear.

We do not issue prorated refunds for partial months, unused questions, unused generations, or dissatisfaction with AI-generated content.

3A. Consultation Deposits

Deposits paid for Standard ($25) and Tax Planning ($50) consultations are non-refundable. If KKATC cancels a session with less than 24 hours notice, the deposit will be refunded in full. If the client cancels with more than 24 hours notice, the deposit may be applied to a future session at KKATC's discretion. No-shows forfeit the deposit.

4. Promotional Codes and Free Access

Promotional codes, beta access codes, and free trial periods are provided at KKATC's sole discretion and are subject to the following terms:

  • Promotional codes are non-transferable and may not be resold, exchanged, or shared beyond their intended recipient
  • Free access granted under promotional or beta programs is non-refundable and has no cash value
  • KKATC reserves the right to revoke promotional access at any time if misuse is detected
  • Free access periods do not extend paid subscription terms and do not entitle the recipient to continued free access after the promotional period ends
  • Redemption limits on promotional codes are strictly enforced — codes cannot be redeemed more times than permitted
5. Banned Accounts

Accounts permanently banned for violating our Acceptable Use Policy are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances. This includes accounts banned for attempting to use our tools to facilitate tax evasion, illegal activity, circumvention of nonprofit restrictions, or misuse as defined in our Terms of Service.

If you believe your account was banned in error, you may appeal to legal@kkatc.com. Appeals are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. A successful appeal does not automatically entitle you to a refund.

6. Free Tier

The free tier is provided as-is with no warranty or service level guarantee. KKATC reserves the right to modify, limit, or discontinue free tier access at any time without notice or compensation. Free tier users have no contractual right to continued access.

7. Price Changes

KKATC reserves the right to modify subscription pricing at any time. We will provide at least 30 days notice of any price increases via email to the address associated with your account. Continued use of the Services after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before the new pricing takes effect.

8. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer without first contacting KKATC to resolve the issue, KKATC reserves the right to permanently suspend your account and report the dispute to Stripe. Fraudulent chargebacks may be pursued to the fullest extent permitted by law. Please contact support@kkatc.com before initiating any dispute.
